First Lutheran supports a number of missionaries in different parts of the world. Here are some facts and information about what these missionaries do, and about the missionaries themselves.

  • Sarah Kanoy is our LCMS missionary nurse in Nairobi, Kenya. More information about her is available by clicking the link on the right. She publishes her Salt and Light newsletter (also on the right) detailing her work there.

  • Matt and Dee Wasmund are LCMS missionaries in Seoul, South Korea. They serve a number of different needs for the church throughout the world. More information about them - and their work - is available by clicking the links on the right.

  • Rev. Micah and Deaconess Dorothy Glenn serve the Lord through The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod as national (domestic) missionaries in Ferguson, Mo. In this role, Micah serves as the executive director of the Lutheran Hope Center in Ferguson.

  • Light of Christ holds bi-lingual worship services every Sunday morning at 10:30 am.  The service includes singing, modified Lutheran liturgy, Scripture readings, sermon.  Holy Communion is generally celebrated the first and third Sundays of the month.
